“Fern gave one of the most insightful tours I have ever had in a new place. Not only did she share important historical information but also cultural practices and pointed out how they varied between Thai Buddhist and Chinese Buddhist spaces. The sites themselves are gorgeous but what made this tour special were the details Fern included, such as teaching me how to fold a flower into a lotus, sticking gold paper onto the Buddha, lighting incense and placing it correctly, showing me how people worship properly and why each step is taken. “Great tour! Amy led our very small tour (just the 3 of us), and her English was excellent. We went to the Golden Mount, the flower market, Khao San Road, and Chinatown. The hotel pick up/drop off was by the same tuk tuk that we took all night long, which was nice. Going by tuk tuk was very fun for my daughter. There was soooo much food, go hungry. We could not eat all that was offered to us, much to my shame, but this is a generous tour for foodies and gluttons.”
